Application Timeline
Most students entering the dual-degree program will begin in the Fall semester.
Brown School MSW students with Advanced Standing status have a modified application and program timeline and should note the modified application and program timeline.
Application & Scholarship Process
The application for admission is used to determine merit-based scholarship awards; there is no separate scholarship application.
Application Timeline:
- Application Opens in October

Application Review begins November 1

Priority Consideration: Apply by December 15
- Regular Decision: Apply by March 1
- Rolling Admissions: Apply after March 1. Decisions for admissions and scholarship are made based on availability.

Confirm Intent to Enroll: By May 1. Admitted students must confirm their intent to enroll by submitting a $200 tuition deposit. Students enrolling in the MSW/MSP or MPH/MSP dual-degree program need only submit one deposit.
Financial Aid Process
(U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or eligible non-U.S. citizens)

Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): After October 1. Complete the FAFSA by March 1 to be eligible for a Federal Work-Study award.

Financial Aid Package Determined: 3-4 weeks after admission decision (if FAFSA has been submitted).
- Federal Work-Study Awarded: After May 1
