Erika Gonzalez has over ten years of experience working to advance access to high quality education for youth in the St. Louis region.
After completing her MSW, Gonzalez rejoined the St. Louis Public Schools as a key member of the Department of Student Support Services. In this role, she led the development of a more robust partnership program with local non-profits in the district’s schools, helping design and lead systems of support to advance students’ wellness.
During her time at the Brown School, Erika has led the Urban Education Initiative, expanded partnerships with non-profits supporting youth and schools, and formed a K-12 Campus Collaborative to align and strengthen the University’s work with local school districts. Gonzalez has also has worked closely with the Department of Education to expand the MSW/MAEd joint degree program, and seeks to grow and strengthen the relationship between educators and social workers on campus and in the community.
