John A. Landsverk has a long history of research and publication on issues concerning children, youth, and families with a specific expertise in the evaluation of innovative early interventions for families at risk for child abuse and neglect. His research interests include design and methods in implementation science and children’s mental health and mental health services. He is also interested in evidence-based, parent-mediated interventions in child welfare settings for the treatment of disruptive behavior disorders and externalizing behavior problems in children and adolescents.
At the Implementation Research Institute, Landsvark trains Fellows for launching pilot work for implementation research projects, addressing research methods challenges, and embarking on careers in implementation science.
He is a Senior Research Scientist at the Oregon Social Learning Center (OSLC), Science Director of the OSLC Developments Inc. and Founding Director of the Child and Adolescent Services Research Center at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego, and Professor Emeritus at San Diego State University.
