Jules Wood

Jules Wood’s research focuses on developing quantitative methods to suit the needs of research on issues related to the development of LGBTQ+ adolescents and young adults. Their research combines consideration for developmental issues that may uniquely affect LGBTQ+ individuals (e.g. minority stress) and methodological issues – to find optimal approaches for modeling complex developmental processes. Their areas of quantitative specialization include longitudinal modeling, SEM, psychometric analysis, and methods for intensive longitudinal data.

Prior to joining the Brown School, Dr. Wood completed their PhD in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State with a focus in quantitative methodology and individual development.
