Kate Barbier

Kate Barbier (she/her) has over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings, including direct practice, program implementation, and systems change.

Kate’s passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and improving access and service delivery has guided her career in social work and public health. Most recently she served as Program Manager at the Behavioral Health Network of Greater St. Louis (BHN) and helped launch the Missouri Child Psychiatry Access Project (MO-CPAP), a statewide project to support pediatric primary care providers in caring for youth with behavioral health needs by linking them to consultations with child and adolescent psychiatrists. She was also a co-lead for the St. Louis Partnership for a Healthy Community Improving Access to Community Health (MATCH) Action Team, part of the St. Louis City and County Community Health Assessment and Improvement Plan (CHA/CHIP), and co-facilitated BHN’s Racial Equity Initiative.

Kate holds Master of Public Health and Master of Social Work degrees from Saint Louis University. Previously, she was Women’s Health Educator for the OB-Gyn Clinic at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where she oversaw the Teen Pregnancy Center, childbirth education classes, and other initiatives, as well as a social worker with Catholic Charities of St. Louis. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Teen Pregnancy and Prevention Partnership. Kate is a troop leader for Girl Scouts and a Girls on the Run coach.

She looks forward to her role in the Office of Field Education and bringing more than a decade of field instruction experience to supporting students and field instructors alike.
