Final Official Transcripts

Incoming students must provide a final official transcript from the institution at which your undergraduate degree was conferred.

The final official transcript must include the following:

  • Degree(s) earned
  • Conferral date
  • Coursework completed to fulfill degree requirements
  • Official institutional seal, stamp and/or embossed marking

Final official transcripts must be sent to the Brown School directly by the issuing institution or its authorized agent. We will not accept final transcripts issued to the student or sent from the student to the Brown School.

Final official transcripts must be received by July 31.

Final transcripts are accepted in electronic or hard copy format. Follow the instructions below carefully to ensure your transcript is received by our office, and is not incorrectly routed to another school or department at Washington University. 

ELECTRONIC DELIVERY:

Certified electronic transcripts are accepted directly from the degree-issuing institution or one of the academic credential services used by many colleges and universities: Parchment Exchange or National Student Clearinghouse. The electronic transcript must be securely routed directly to the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis: brownadmissions@wustl.edu. 

HARD COPY DELIVERY BY MAIL:

Official paper transcripts must be mailed directly to the Brown School Office of Admissions & Recruitment by the issuing institution in an official sealed envelope to the following address:

Note for SOPHAS Applicants: Public Health applicants who submitted official transcripts bearing degree conferral verified by SOPHAS, or a certified course-by-course evaluation completed by World Education Services (WES) verifying bachelor’s degree equivalency are not required to provide another official transcript. SOPHAS applicants who applied while their undergraduate degree was in progress, or did not provide an official electronic course-by-course WES evaluation must adhere to the final official transcript policy outlined above.
