Preferred registration deadline: October 27th

3 CEUs

Joan Benz, PhD, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Private Practice
Adjunct Faculty, Brown School

Many social workers struggle when they enter private practice. Trained as therapists, they may feel challenged to run an effective business or feel a tug between the need to be profitable and their passion for social work values.

This workshop will provide suggestions on how to run an effective, sustainable practice, without losing touch with your concern for people who can’t afford to pay market rates for your service. Participants will consider topics like setting boundaries, establishing a fee schedule, negotiating payment, record keeping, managing your time, and pro bono work. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and challenges for discussion.

This class has been canceled.

Effective September 1, 2017, the cost of visitor parking is no longer included in our program registration fees.
