This class will provide an overview of commercial sexual exploitation, including understanding trauma & trauma bonds. Learn how to conduct an assessment and intake, along with counseling techniques for commercially sexually exploited people. We will also discuss systemic and legal issues such as barriers to accessing services, relevant federal and local laws, appropriate interviewing for victims and perpetrators in the justice system, and models for court-based interventions. Class size is limited to 30.
