In this interactive session, participants will review a framework for counseling and supporting individuals with dementia using case scenarios and a presentation by an individual coping with early memory loss. Participants will learn strategies for guiding individuals and families through the initial diagnostic process and planning for future needs, and for addressing denial, resistance and other barriers to support and decision making. Class size is limited to 30.
