Healing from Domestic Violence: Applications of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

This workshop will focus on interventions to help victims of domestic violence recover and heal. Various techniques from several CBT based interventions will be shared including Narrative Therapy and TF-CBT. Participants will learn what not to say to a victim, as well as how various interventions help desensitize them to the memories of their traumatic experiences with an abuser. In addition, information on how to help them cope with symptoms of PTSD in future relationships and how to move from victim to survivor will be shared.

Class size is limited to 45.
