The pace of daily life and the quantity of information people are asked to filter can be overwhelming. Honing your skill at developing graphics that summarize relationships, trends, and concepts is increasingly essential to producing effective annual reports, program evaluations, presentations and webpages.
This workshop will offer a hands-on experience creating infographics, using tools you probably already have on your computer, such as PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher. We will discuss what information is best conveyed through narrative v through graphics, as well as tips for arranging images and text thoughtfully to support your communication goal. The pro’s and con’s of using various tools will be discussed, and basic techniques for manipulating your images will be shared. Class size is limited to 28.
