Lee Koelliker
Director of Career Services, Brown School

Being successful in a new role often is at least as much about quickly building constructive relationships with the people as it is content knowledge of your field.

In this workshop, you will learn best practices to successfully and strategically navigate organizations based on your ability to build and develop your personal network.  You will gain tools to evaluate your overall effectiveness within the organization — as well as to identify potential areas for growth.  Ultimately, this assessment will allow you to plan your effective transition, by encouraging you to think systematically about how to convey your vision and goals, as well as diagnosing the network you will need to have in place to advance your work.

Class discussion will include special considerations when you are joining a new organization, changing roles within your current organization, or taking on a role of executive leadership that may require you to balance extra scrutiny.

Class size is limited to 45.
