Moving Towards Safety: Empowering Clients in Abusive Relationships to Develop Holistic Safety Plans

Helping clients in abusive relationships increase their physical, emotional, economic, and sexual safety is a challenging task requiring skilled listening and planning. Learn how to discern the distinct risks - physical and beyond - informing client’s safety decisions and receive hands-on tools for client centered safety planning.

We will discuss difficult situations including life threatening violence, co-occurrence of intimate partner violence and child abuse, and supporting clients who remain in an abusive relationship. Participants will practice safety planning skills with engaging case scenarios.

Class size is limited to 30.
