Class size is limited to 30. The discussion and role play format of this workshop will assist the participants to anticipate common negotiation roadblocks, prepare positive strategies for preventing and overcoming negotiation impasse, and refine their own negotiation style. Participants will practice their new negotiation skills in short role play exercises focusing on common issues for social workers: work place conflicts, grant negotiations and problem-solving between agencies and departments. Planning, self-assessment and peer-assessment tools will provide each of you with a written evaluation of what you've learned.
