Class size is limited to 30. Examples from the field will be discussed, drawing particularly from experiences at the SPOT, a youth center which uses positive youth development to eradicate STDs among youth in St. Louis. The evidence base for the approach will be reviewed, as will tips for incorporating the approach into clinical practice. This workshop will provide participants with an understanding of positive youth development and the strategies it offers to promote health and well- being.
