This course will provide an introduction to the SAS
statistical package in a Windows environment. Students will learn the basics of
data management and manipulation through hands-on tutorials. We will cover
importing/exporting data, merging datasets, recoding variables, simple
statistical analyses and troubleshooting.
Students taking this class should
have a working knowledge of statistics and previous experience working with a
statistical software package, such as SPSS or STATA. Students should have
passed a basic statistics class or otherwise have used basic statistics skills
within the past 2 years.Prerequisites:

This class will include both degree-seeking graduate students and practicing professionals. Individuals registering through Professional Development will not receive academic credit for the class.
