Yadi Tejeda

Yadira (Yadi) Tejeda was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She earned her BA in sociology and master’s in social work from California State University, Northridge. Yadi is a 2nd-year doctoral student at the Brown School of Social Work. Yadi’s field experience includes working as a Child Protective Services (CPS) social worker, field instructor for MSW students interning for CPS, and working with former foster youth at a community college. Her research interest is in the Latinx population involved with Child Protective Services. Yadi hopes to add the Latinx experience to the field of child maltreatment research to explore the best practices for working with this vulnerable population.
