Three members of the Brown School faculty are making repeat appearances on the Highly Cited Researchers list by Clarivate, an analytics company.
Ross Brownson, Byron Powell, and Enola Proctor are among 48 researchers from Washington University named to the list of influential researchers worldwide for 2022. The trio has been recognized previously by Clarivate for the scope of their research. The annual list identifies research scientists and social scientists from around the world who demonstrate exceptional influence in their fields as reflected through their publication of multiple papers frequently cited by their peers during the last decade.
Brownson, the Stephen H. and Susan U. Lipstein Distinguished Professor and director of the Prevention Research Center, is a leading expert in chronic disease prevention and applied epidemiology. Powell, associate professor and co-director of the Center for Mental Health Services Research (CMHSR), focuses his research on efforts to improve the quality of behavioral health and social services. Proctor is a professor and pioneer in the field of dissemination & implementation science who directs the Implementation Research Institute, a training program in implementation science.
In total, 6,938 researchers from across the globe made this year’s list. Highly cited papers rank in the top 1% by citations for a field and publication year in the Web of Science, a Clarivate tool.
