Mindfulness is a powerful tool to manage stress. Research indicates that when teens consistently practice mindfulness, it lowers rates of anxiety and depression, leads to better stress, stronger relationships, and increased self–awareness. Mindfulness practice can help teens/tweens find relief in the moment, while supporting their learning and growth.
The session will introduce mindfulness, along with tools to provide age-appropriate exercises. The workshop will include information regarding the neuroscience of mindfulness. You’ll leave with a toolkit for teaching children mindfulness, including ideas for addressing resistance and interventions to manage difficult moments.
