Trauma exposure is prevalent. To effectively provide mental health services to adults, practicing clinicians must have a working knowledge of assessment measures and effective treatments for symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

This workshop will address assessment techniques, ranging from semi-structured clinical interviews to self-report measures. Participants will be introduced to the evidence-based, recovery-focused treatments for PTSD, including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure. Issues of culturally responsive assessment and treatment adaptations will be discussed.
