Supervisors often are asked to intervene when conflict arises among and between their direct reports. Knowing whether, when, and how to intervene is key. Mediation offers one approach managers can employ. Generally, mediation is any process in which another person helps those in conflict address their differences in a healthy and constructive way.

In this highly interactive workshop, you will examine the value and appropriateness of mediation as a means to facilitate difficult conversations between those you supervise. You will be introduced to a seven-step framework and will have the opportunity to practice such conversations using the framework as your guide.

General Admission: $60**

Class size is limited to 30.

**Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available.
