This workshop will be conducted in a virtual Zoom meeting format.
Missouri recently joined other states in creating a medical cannabis program. In this workshop, participants will explore what medical cannabis is, what it promises, and to what extent it delivers on those promises. Through interactive discussions, we will take a closer look at scenarios in the clinical setting that can pose unique ethical challenges. Participants will use an ethical decision-making framework to work through a variety of dilemmas that professionals commonly face. Following this training, helping professionals will be better equipped to navigate conversations regarding medical cannabis with clients.
This class meets the licensure requirement for 3 hours of continuing education in ethics.
