The Advanced Learning Certificate in Artificial Intelligence Applications for Health Data is designed for professionals interested in modern AI technologies and seeking to build skill with AI’s applications to health or other “big data” for their work or research.
Summer Institute
Intensive courses ranging from two to five days focus on various skill-building in areas such as management, leadership, evidence-based interventions, data analysis, communication, diversity, equity and inclusion, and fundraising.
CEUs Anytime, Anywhere
Our on-demand videos focus on specific aspects of social work and public health practice. These videos are available for streaming at your convenience, allowing individuals to learn and earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) at their own pace.

We are the largest provider of Social Work continuing education courses in the St. Louis region, offering more than 100 programs each year to help you increase and refresh your skills. Whatever your area of practice, professional development at the Brown School has something for you! Focused on key areas of clinical practice, leadership & management, evaluation, and diversity, equity, accessibility & inclusion, our programs enroll professionals in social work, public health, and related fields.

We offer weekly training, in person and via Zoom, throughout the year. Taught by respected local professionals, Brown School faculty, and visiting instructors, our workshops address a wide range of topics and competencies covering the latest research, evidence-based interventions, leadership & management, self-care, and more. Multiple workshops on the required topics of suicide prevention, ethics, and cultural competency are offered throughout the year to meet your licensure needs.

Stronger Skills = Greater Impact
For learners wishing to take a deeper dive, we offer Intensive courses as well as bi-annual Summits. These programs range from a full day to a week, with in-person and online formats available. Intensive programs will increase your skills in areas such as management & leadership; evidence-based interventions; data analysis; communication; diversity, equity & inclusion; policy & advocacy; fundraising, and more.

To connect with our community across the globe, the Brown School created Open Classroom – a series of free, one-hour webinars on a wide range of social work, public health, and social policy topics. Our library now includes more than 250 programs, with new webinars offered every month.

Power Your Career – Advance Your Opportunities
Advanced Learning Certificates are cohort-based learning experiences catering to individuals looking to enhance their skills, advance their careers, or explore new specializations. Designed for professionals with aligned interests, these programs welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and do not require prior affiliation with the Brown School. Certificate courses blend live instruction and asynchronous work in topical areas such as clinical interventions, leadership, data and evaluation. An approved application is required prior to course registration.
