What is an Encore Career?

As we live longer and healthier lives, it’s become the norm to have not just a single career, but several different careers. In the latter half of their working years, many are determined to extend their efforts for work that makes a difference in their communities. This new model, which combines elements of work, service, and social impact, is called an "encore career." Paid or unpaid, encore work focuses your energies where your passion and purpose meet.

For eight decades, the Brown School has been preparing professionals to address the challenges and opportunities facing our neighbors and communities – here in St. Louis and around the world. Join us for programming designed to help you define and pursue your encore career
