MSW/Master of Urban Design Degree
Students from this program earn a Master of Social Work degree from the Brown School and a Master of Urban Design degree from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
The Master of Urban Design is a post-professional program designed for students who already hold professional degrees in architecture, landscape architecture, or planning. The MSW/MUD joint degree program requires 78 credit hours.
Graduates of these joint degree programs are prepared for work in urban planning, housing redevelopment, teaching, and community and enterprise development.
Separate applications are required for both the MSW and MUD programs and are reviewed independently according to their criteria. Be sure to indicate that you are applying for a joint-degree in the MSW application for admission.
